Welcome to Oslo Bellydance Studio. The studio, with its 3 branches in Oslo and surrounding areas, is run and owned by Siri Ydstie, one of the most well known professional bellydance performers and instructors in Norway. Siri specializes in Egyptian style bellydance (raqs sharqi) but also does other styles. She has produced an instructional DVD for beginners in (2006) plus one album of bellydance music (2002). In addition to running her own dance studios, Siri also hosts the annual 1001 Nights - Oslo Bellydance Festival which has been drawing crowds since 2001, as well as organizing an annual bellydance retreat in Bali, Indonesia. Siri is in charge of the Norwegian teacher training and certification program for bellydance instructors organized by the Norwegian Dance Association ( www.danseforbundet.no ), she is also a much sought after instructor and performer in the Oslo area as well as the rest of Norway and around the world. Her talents have already taken her to perform and/or teach in Sweden, Lithuania, USA, Indoensia, the UK etc.
