Welcome to Oslo Bellydance Studio. The studio, with its 4 branches in Oslo and surrounding areas, is run and owned by Siri Ydstie, one of the most well known professional bellydance performers and instructors in Norway. Siri specializes in Egyptian style bellydance (raqs sharqi) but also does other styles. She has produced an instructional DVD for beginners in (2006) plus one album of bellydance music (2002), and is currently working on the DVD series "Siri's choreographies" aimed at more advanced students. Vol. 1 released March 2007, Vol. 2 in May 2007. In addition to running her own dance studios, Siri is also co-owner of the Turkish restaurant Alanya in Moss, just south of Oslo, where there are bellydance performances on a regular basis. She also hosts the annual 1001 Nights - Oslo Bellydance Festival which has been drawing crowds since 2001, as well as being co-organizer of the annual Lotus Dance Retreat in Bali. Siri is the editor of Al Farah, the Norwegian Bellydance magazine, and in charge of the Norwegian teacher training and certification program for bellydance instructors (new 2008).

Friday 2nd of May 2008: Gala Show in Oslo Concert Hall. Tickets (NOK 200,-) are sold at www.oslokonserthus.no or at any Norwegian post office. Please ask for the 1001natt show in lille sal. Tickets sell out fast, so make sure to secure your ticket well in advance. The show features various guest stars as well as some of the very best dancers in Norway.
